Accounts Receivable Representative (CBO - Arlington, TX)

Description: Timely filing issues, daily correspondence, credit balances and unapplied credits, patient and insurance accounts, collection on private pay accounts, letters for collection accounts, printing and follow-up of tickler system, preparation of monthly information for physician meeting, preparation of patient accounts for bad debt and/or collection, implementation of proper authorized adjustments to patient accounts, appeals, separate files for appeals by physician, daily schedules to teams with patient balances, TDI/TMA insurance payors, error logs, verify payor fee schedule amounts, follow-up on secondary filing, verify and perform maintenance of patient/insurance information for medical records and GroupManagement.

Required Experience: Employee(s) must be experienced in the field of collections and preferably the medical/healthcare industry.

Necessary Skills: Employee(s) must maintain a good attendance record and be a self-starter, excellent communication and organizational skills, separation and correlation of correspondence, input and follow-up on accounts is essential to collection process, researching and solving collection and credit balance issues, ability to resolve non-payment issues with claims, oversees all processes for collection of physician A/R according to protocol.

Bilingual Front Office Clerical - Fort Worth Imaging Department

Description: Responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments.

Required Experience: Minimum of one year of medical business office experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills, computer skills, CPT and ICD-9 coding, and general knowledge of medical terminology required. Familiarity with medical billing, collection procedures and prior experience with EMR computer applications preferred.

Necessary Skills: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (CHECK-IN RECEPTIONIST): 1. Patient registration to include all new patient data entry and updates to existing patient accounts. Description: Responsible for providing nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians.

Required Experience: Must be a certified / or registered medical assistant. Prefer at least one year of experience in a medical setting.

Necessary Skills: 1. Provides general nursing care to patients in accordance with physician directives. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and UANT protocols. 2. Description: Responsible for scheduling hospital surgical cases.

Required Experience: Two years work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Previous surgery scheduling experience preferred.

Necessary Skills: 1. Schedule all cases as requested by physicians. 2. Print a daily surgery scheduling resource list. Contact each patient on scheduling list for that day to ascertain appropriate scheduling for patients and case. 3. Consult the surgery booking plan for each patient and schedule all aspects of the case accordingly. 4. Communicate orders and details of case to hospital, patient, the physician’s nurse, and insurance pre-certification secretary. 5. Coordinate schedules of multiple doctors. Arrange anesthesia as needed. 6. Ensure that all required special equipment for a case is requested and provided. 7. For USMD cases, deliver reservation sheets in a timely manner. 8. Monitor physicians’ surgery schedule to ensure efficient and productive use of physician time. 9. Maintain strictest confidentiality. 10. Description: A nonexempt position responsible for performing venipuncture on patients. Essential Job Responsibilities: 1. Prepares equipment to efficiently collect blood products 2. Performs venipuncture, on patients as ordered by providers 3. Instructs patients on urine collection procedures. 4. Assists donor before, during, and after donation. 5. Follows medical practice protocols related to safety, infection control 6. Cleans/sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures. 7. Enters data into computer. 8. Maintains appropriate logs: refrigerator temp, freezer temp, room temp 9. Inventories supplies and places orders to ensure adequate supplies for procedures. 10. Maintains strictest confidentiality. 11. Participates in communal activities necessary for the proper function of the office. 12. Conducts themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times with coworkers, patients, physicians, vendors, and others. 13. Attends meetings as required. 14. Required Experience: Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience is reuired. Experience in a medical practice is preferred. ASCP required; certification as medical assistant preferred but not required. National certification through American Medical Technologists as a registered phlebotomy technician not required but helpful. Current CPR certificate.

Necessary Skills: Knowledge: 1. Knowledge of phlebotomy techniques. 2. Knowledge of clinic protocols and policies. Skills: 1. Skill in performing efficient and effective draws. 2. Skill in conducting cooperative interactions with patients and staff. Abilities: 1. Ability to interpret and respond appropriately to instructions. 2. Ability to coordinate eye–hand movements to ensure patient comfort during blood draws.

Required Education: Perspective candidates must have a high school diploma or a GED. Graduation from an accredited medical vocational institution with phlebotomy course diploma.
