Lawrence J. Alter, MD is a native of San Antonio. He graduated from Rice University in Houston. After completing medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston, Dr. Alter served his residency in surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and completed his urology residency at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Alter is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He has been in practice in Irving since 1984. He has served as chairman of surgery at Irving Medical Center, now Baylor Medical Center at Irving, for three years.
Dr. and Mrs. Alter have a son and daughter and reside in Irving.
