About Me

I grew up in north Dallas and graduated class valedictorian from Naaman Forest High School in Garland. Before pursuing medicine, I earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. While there, I was fortunate to work with some of the major players in digital technology - including National Instruments, Cisco Systems and Oracle.

I received my medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Afterward, I completed an internship in general surgery and my residency in urologic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis.

During my residency, I participated in a number of research studies, including the use of multiparametric MRI in diagnosis and management of prostate cancer, utilizing MRI/ultrasound fusion technology and improving infection-reducing protocol for prostate biopsy - along with identifying factors to improve outcomes of BPH surgery. I'm honored to have been awarded the Morris Abrams Award - a distinction bestowed upon the most compassionate resident by Washington University's faculty - for four consecutive years. I also received the Resident in Excellence Award, an honor given to the resident who performs at the highest overall level within the Department of Urologic Surgery, as well as the Scholarship Award for highest overall score on the urology in-service examination.

I'm fortunate to have received world-class urologic training from a renowned faculty while serving a diverse patient population of St. Louis. Today, I enjoy practicing general urology with a special interest in kidney stone disease, vasectomy, prostate disorders, and the medical and surgical management (including minimally invasive and robotic surgery) of urologic cancers such as adrenal gland, kidney, bladder, prostate and testis. Utilizing the latest technologies and surgical techniques allows me to create treatment plans that focus on each patient's personalized needs and nurture their speedy recovery.

When I meet with patients, I'm mindful of their specific individual needs. I take into account their age, lifestyle, personal preferences, cultural and religious beliefs and treatment goals. I believe prompt evaluation and excellent communication with my patients, their families and referring physicians are the keys to providing exceptional patient care. I'm happy to be back home in North Texas, and look forward to helping provide its community members with exceptional care.

Specialties: General Urology, Kidney Stones, Vasectomy, Prostate Problems and Disorders, Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery, and Urologic Cancers.
