Vairavan Subramanian, MD, is a native of Houston, TX. He received his B.S. in Biology, Cum Laude, from Yale University. He then completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, while earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Subramanian finished his internship and residency training at the world-renown Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.
He practices general urology with special interests in kidney stones, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, BPH, vasectomy, and minimally invasive and robotic surgery for cancer and reconstructive urology.
Dr. Subramanian has published numerous articles in urology journals and was awarded Best Poster in Kidney Cancer at the American Urological Association meeting in 2009. He has provided volunteer medical care for needy patients in India.
He and his wife Anna reside in Irving. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis.
