Richard R. Scriven, M.D.
Richard R. Scriven, M.D. grew up in Spokane, Washington. He received his bachelors degree in Religion with a minor in Chemistry from Walla Walla College in Washington. Dr. Scriven completed medical school as well as his urological training at Loma Linda Medical School in California.
Dr. Scriven joined UANT in 2001. Prior to this he was in private practice in Spokane Washington as a general urologist with Rockwood Clinic, a 120 member multi-specialty clinic. He held several leadership positions with this clinic.
Dr. Scriven has a broad range of experience in all areas of general urology, but has particular interest in endoscopic stone procedures, general female stress incontinence, and office based minimally invasive therapies for prostate enlargement that include in office laser therapy and microwave therapy for BPH.
Dr. Scriven has his office at North Hills Hospital. He is past chief of Surgery and is currently Vice Chief of Staff for North Hills Hospital. He also is Chair of the Peer Review and past President of the Board for Urology Associates of North Texas.
He is married to Suzanne his wife of 34 years. They have two grown daughters and one grandchild who reside in the northwest. His interests include golfing, road biking, and spending time at his seasonal cabin in northern Idaho.
Dr. Scriven is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology.
