Urologic Oncology

Dominic H. Tang, M.D.

I was raised in Union City, California, a suburb just east of San Francisco. I graduated with a bachelor of science in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California at Los Angeles and then worked in a research lab for two years. After receiving my medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, I completed an internship in general surgery and residency in urology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where I also served as chief resident of urology, I then completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, one of the busiest cancer centers in the country. At Moffitt, my research focused on examining the impact of biomarkers and HPV infection in penile cancer as well as investigating quality of life outcomes after cystectomy.

I focus on providing compassionate care while using an evidence-based approach to deliver the best possible outcome for every patient. I have advanced training in urologic oncology, general urology, and complex robotic surgery. I am also a member of the American Urologic Association and a member of the Society of Urologic Oncologists. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and exploring new restaurants in Dallas with my fiancé.
